Our client, a global leader in manufacturing, specialises in producing heavy-duty aluminium and alloy conductors.
They deliver products to various industrial sectors worldwide, including deliveries across the USA. They sought a way to ensure efficient door deliveries, particularly for heavy cargo.
The commodities were unsuitable for rail transport, so our client’s consignee required flatbed carriers. This is where Ace stepped in.
Our client had a few challenges that needed to be addressed. Firstly, we needed to ensure the timely delivery of heavy-weight containers and to find a solution for the frequent issue of road closures.
Additionally, adverse weather conditions would often hamper delivery efficiency and time. Lastly, we studied the methods currently used to load containers for multiple deliveries to make informed decisions.

When bulky containers needed to be delivered for drayage, we used a Super Chassis, a specialised type of trailer for transporting extremely heavy containers.
To ensure that the cargo was packed and organised well while being shipped, we segregated it according to its final delivery location after being dispatched to the warehouse. This allowed for efficient unloading and distribution.
To ensure our shipments were on time, whether rain or snow, we took multiple precautionary measures and implemented them individually—from using winter tyres to winter chains. Ace planned well in advance for possible road closures so that there was no difficulty rerouting cargo to another yard after confirmation from the consignee when and if a situation arose.
